ISC @ DPSIS (Grades 11 & 12 )
Senior Secondary students are encouraged to be self-reliant. Under the supervision of faculty, they are expected to take responsibility for their own learning by independently managing timely submission of assignments and completion of allotted work. Periodic tests and examinations require a planned pattern of study that helps students learn how to be systematic. Collaboration skills are inculcated through peer learning, project-based learning, group discussions and presentation.
The ISC curriculum at the Senior Secondary level emphasises on the development of effective communication skills in English. The vast practical experiences built into the curriculum enable students to become active problem-solvers, in addition to gaining academic excellence. The ISC examination caters to the needs of all students, where the assessment is based on an array of simple, difficult, analytical, and critical thinking questions. The curriculum is framed to ensure students are equipped for tackling all forms of competitive entrance examinations at the National & Global arena.
We prioritize acquainting our young learners with the 7C’Spheres of Excellence, essential 21st-century skills seamlessly integrated into the curriculum. Our lesson plans are crafted to be entertaining, interactive, and immersive, catering to inquisitive minds and fostering the exploration of novel ideas.

Thought Provoking Question
Students who have completed ICSE Grade 10 or its equivalent are eligible to choose ISC Curriculum. Students from other boards, other than ICSE have to apply for eligibility to the council. Upon approval, they will be offered the ISC curriculum.
The ISC curriculum covers a broad range of subjects, including English and three elective subjects chosen by the students. The elective subjects can include Sciences, Commerce, Humanities, and other specialized fields.
At DPSIS we offer, English (Compulsory), Physics, Accounts, Chemistry, Commerce, Mathematics, Business Studies, Computer Science, Biology, Economics, Political science. Students can choose any four subjects apart from English.
Similar to the ICSE curriculum, the ISC curriculum emphasizes continuous and comprehensive evaluation. This includes assessments through regular tests, projects, assignments, and practical examinations throughout the academic year in Grade 11 ISC.
The culmination of the ISC curriculum is the final board examinations conducted at the end of the 12th grade. These examinations cover all the chosen subjects and determine the students' academic performance and eligibility for higher education. Practical examinations are a significant component, especially in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science.
