Parents Support Group

By parents, for parents

At DPS International School, we firmly believe that education is a collaborative journey best navigated through the collective effort of teachers, students, and notably, parents. Our core philosophy embraces the invaluable role parents play in enriching the educational tapestry of our students’ lives, forming an integral part of our school’s vibrant community.

In alignment with this philosophy, we extend a heartfelt invitation to our parents to join the DPS International School Parents Support Group (PSG). The PSG serves as a dynamic platform where parents can contribute to and enhance the educational environment of our students, reinforcing our shared values and bolstering our collective objectives.

As a member of the PSG, your insights, skills, and involvement will help shape the formative experiences of our students. Your engagement will support not only their academic pursuits but will also contribute to their social and emotional growth, fostering a well-rounded development within a supportive learning community.

We encourage you to become a part of this influential group, to share in our dedication to creating an exceptional educational atmosphere for all our children. By joining the PSG, you will have the opportunity to work alongside fellow parents and school staff in organizing events, facilitating programs, and help in of important processes that directly impact our school and its students.

Together, let’s continue to build a nurturing and inspiring environment for our students, one that cherishes the integral role of parents within our educational framework and let’s make a difference together.

ROLE OF PSG

Supportive Partner in Education

The PSG complements the school by aligning with the school’s objectives, supporting and strengthening the school’s programmes to improve our children’s well-being and learning.

Bridge Between Parents and School

The PSG listens to parents’ feedback on school operations, practices and programmes, and provides feedback to the school. The PSG also facilitates the school’s communication to parents.

Magnet to Attract Other Parents

Parents who are actively involved in the PSG are better able to reach out to other parents and involve them. Over time, more parents can contribute to make the school environment more conducive for learning.

Contribution to the school:

By giving your three T’s

Time

You can volunteer your time to design and conduct the school’s programmes and events. Supportive PSG members can help to make the school a safe place for our children to learn in, making school life more vibrant and caring.

Talent

You can volunteer your expertise, talents, individual interests or personal networks. In this way, parents can significantly expand the pool of help available to the school and the PSG.

Thoughts

We can brainstorm and contribute constructive feedback and ideas to improve the school and PSG. Cluster-wide or community forums are a great opportunity to learn and share ideas with each other. More experienced parents can share experience and advice with younger parents too.
