DPS International School, registered with Committee for Private Education (CPE) was founded in 2004 with the objective of meeting a growing need of the expatriate community that incorporates the best practices of Indian and western educational institutions. Our vision of nurturing academic and co-curricular excellence while moulding socially responsible global citizens has helped us to carve a niche for ourselves in the Singapore educational arena.

Philosophy of DPS International School

Our Inception Saga
The liberalization of Singapore’s immigration policies to boost the size and skills of the local workforce led to a rapidly growing group of highly qualified professionals faced with arranging appropriate education for their children away from the home context. It is against this backdrop of increasing globalisation of business and its associated mobility of employees and their families, that the inception of DPS was planned with the support of EDB in 2004. However, the task of educating children of diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds was founded on principles that were ‘ideologically driven’ as opposed to ‘market driven’. By actively promoting values such as tolerance, empathy and the promotion of international understanding we aimed to raise responsible citizens of the world. DPS International School was founded in 2003 and started its operation on 19th April 2004 in Singapore as a non-profit organisation by registering with MOE and subsequently with Committee for Private Education (CPE). In pursuance of its motto ‘Carpe Diem’, and its commitment to an integrated educational system, the mission of the society was to enhance learning for its students and enablers. DPS International School was founded on the ideological principles of value-based learning. We at DPS International Singapore are guided by the mission statement to preserve and enhance the highest standards of excellence and prepare generations for the 21st century.
DPS International Singapore is a Private Education Institution with 1,500+ students in Nursery till Grade 12. We are affiliated to both curriculums – CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations) and CAIE (Cambridge Assessment International Education) from Grades 1 to 12 adapting the prescribed content to the needs of the future generation of learners in a globally competitive society.
