My children were studying in a school close to our home. Last year, when that school was shifted to another area, we were looking for an alternate option. Initially we haven’t considered DPS due to different curriculum, but later decided to visit their office to understand curriculum and fees structure. This is mainly because of their prompt response to our through telephone. Management staff and principal were very attentive and they made us feel as we are part of DPS family. After various discussions and visiting the facilities we took the decision to transfer the children to DPS. Children happily settled in on their first day itself…. After 8 months we would like to say that DPS has been a blessing to us. Children are enjoying the school, academically and in other curricular activities. Teacher – student ratio is so good that there is an attachment between them. The teachers know each students and focus is given to each one of them based on their strength and weakness. The staggered fees payment option is helping us a lot. We would like to thank the Management, Staff and Teachers (Especially Geetha Sadasivan ma’am) for their commitment.

Let me share our experience as parents with the school, DPSIS. Both our daughter and son are students of DPSIS. DPS has helped our children evolve and grow well by giving them scope to explore their interests and made them very confident and competitive. With a multicultural environment, the school provides enough opportunity to develop their interpersonal and Intra personal skills and provides them with enough exposure to different cultures. The various social and community activities organised by the school, helps them grow into socially conscious people. The various cultural activities help mold their creativity and leadership skills. With an environment that facilitates close student teacher interaction, knowledgeable and experienced teaching fraternity, friendly and proactive support staff, the school provides a friendly and safe ecosystem for the children to blossom into fine individuals. There’s enough emphasis on physical activities as well and a lot of open space to play and have fun which makes the children feel that the school is indeed their second home. In summary, with a well planned curriculum, warm and friendly environment, sufficient guidance and encouragement and periodic exposure to opportunities in various fields, the school contributes towards the all round development of our children. Let me take this opportunity to thank everyone who is part of DPSIS for making the school a place best loved by children.

We shifted to Singapore this year & got my kids admitted in DPS in the new session. From day one, the teachers & staff were very welcoming & supported the kids in settling in a new school & a new environment. My son who studies in class 7 had a little difficult time in settling in his new class. We discussed the issues with the co-ordinator by visiting the school & she immediately resolved it by taking the necessary action. She also took the feedback from us after few weeks to check that everything is fine & my son is well settled in his new class. After those initial hiccups which were resolved soon, my son today loves his new school & calls it second home.

Thought Provoking Question

Yes, students are required to take an assessment to determine their academic preparedness and determine their grade level prior to registration.

• To join us, students must have a valid Dependent Pass, or Permanent Residency in Singapore or local citizens. Unfortunately, students can’t study at DPSIS on either a student pass or long-term visit pass.
• It is important to note that local citizens need permission from the Ministry of Education to study at an international school like DPSIS.

DPSIS places students based on their age as on 1st April of the year of entry. Please visit the entry requirements page to view the grade placement table. If you are not sure about your child's grade placement, contact admissions@dps.edu.sg to receive a personalised grade placement and school fee breakdown by email.
