Did you know that a goldfish is believed to have an attention span of around 9 seconds, while the average human’s is estimated to be just 8 seconds? Let’s prove we can do better—stick around until the end and show you’re more focused than a goldfish!
Join us on an inspiring journey as we explore the art world, unraveling the secrets of creativity and expression. Discover how to approach art with curiosity and confidence, whether you’re a seasoned artist, a passionate beginner, or simply someone eager to appreciate its beauty.
We get it—sometimes it feels impossible to put down our gadgets and truly disconnect. But guess what? There has always been an invisible canvas around you, whether you noticed it or not! Be it for drawing, painting, or even just doodling in the margins of your notebook, art can be a game changer since it relaxes, clears up one’s mind, and sparks joy within a day.
It’s very easy to get lost in an hour over the phone or binge-watching videos. But those 15-20 minutes spent drawing or painting create a whole different shift forward. It’s like hitting the reset button for your brain. Making art drops you into color, shape, and imagination. You don’t have to be the next Picasso; even simple doodles will do magic! The key is to have fun and savour the moment.
Whether amateur, beginner, a sketch artist or a painter, chill! You don’t need any of those fancy-schmancy equipment to start. There is always something around like a pencil where you can let your imagination go wild. Just take a pencil and start with some simple shapes or patterns. Seriously, there are loads of easy tutorials online that wouldn’t cost you anything. Just think of yourself in other dimensions, and at the frontiers of new ones! And remember, everything is in the expression, and expression can always be right.
Give it a try! From sketching during brief breaks at your desk to painting on a laid-back Sunday afternoon, art is an awesome way to look after one’s mental health and unplug from all types of screens. And hey—here’s the deal: every Friday from 1 to 1:20 p.m., gather up in the AV room to share your ideas and insights and maybe even find inspiration for future artworks!
