About Me
I am C. P. Kabra, a professional, entrepreneur and philanthropist. I completed my professional qualifications as a Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant and Company Secretary in 1986, 1987 and 1988 respectively. I passed all three examinations on my first attempt, at a time when the pass rate for the CA examination was less than 2%.
I was a hosteller at Rajasthan Vidyarthi Grah (RVG), an institution from which many professionals have gone on to become Chartered Accountants, Cost Accountants and Company Secretaries.
I am also a committee member of the Singapore chapter of the Akhil Bhartiya Maheshwari Mahasabha.

Professional Journey
I began my corporate career with Cadbury India Limited at its headquarters on Peddar Road, Mumbai.
With a strong passion for entrepreneurship, I subsequently joined an MSME group in Silvassa as Finance Controller. The group manufactured key raw materials for Hindustan Unilever and Tata Oil Mills Ltd. During my 22-month tenure, the group experienced significant multidimensional growth and became an OEM for Hindustan Unilever, producing approximately 55,000 metric tonnes of Wheel detergent powder annually. The group subsequently went on to make a public issue.
I then moved to Bhilwara, where I joined a textile unit as Executive Director, overseeing its weaving and processing operations.
In 1991, I moved to Abu Road and started a new granite processing unit, which exported granite to more than 26 countries. During this period, I was involved in the export of granite and marble and also undertook projects in Singapore and other countries.
In 1994, I moved permanently to Singapore and established a business involved in the import, stockholding, project management and final fabrication of granite, marble and other dimensional stones.
Over the years, my company supplied materials for several prestigious projects in Singapore, including Republic Plaza, Suntec City, Changi Airport Terminal 1, Mustafa Centre, Liat Towers, MRT stations and condominium projects.
DPS International School
In 2004, I brought Delhi Public School to Singapore, establishing DPS International School, Singapore.
Since its establishment, DPS International School has continued to achieve new milestones. Our students have gained admission to prestigious universities and institutions around the world, including NUS, NTU, Harvard, Imperial College London, Cambridge, NYU and Princeton.
The school has also achieved outstanding academic results, including students securing 99.25% as the highest mark in the ICSE curriculum and 5 A*s in the Cambridge curriculum.
For me, DPS International School represents more than an educational institution. It is a commitment to providing students with a strong academic foundation while nurturing their skills, character, confidence and holistic development.
Philanthropy & Community Service
Giving back to society has always been an important part of my journey.
Through my school and group companies, I have supported the International Yoga Event in Singapore in collaboration with the Indian High Commission. I have also contributed to organisations and causes including the Singapore Children’s Society, Community Chest, Pertapis, Gita Jayanti and SunLove Old Folks Home.
In India, I actively support the education and empowerment of Maheshwari orphans and widows, including initiatives that help widows become self-employed.
I also regularly contribute to the Van Bandhu Parishad’s Ekal Vidyalaya project, supporting 21 schools annually, and contribute towards the PM Toilet Scheme in rural areas.
Family
My wife, Jyoti Kabra, has been a constant pillar of strength throughout my journey. She holds a Master’s degree in Commerce and serves as Executive Director of DPS International School Pte Ltd, where she focuses on the quality of education, ECA, CCA and the holistic development of our students. She is particularly passionate about the arts, religion and social service.
We are blessed with three children—two daughters and one son. All three are married and pursuing their professional careers, with experience across organisations including Google, Bloomberg, Fractal Animation, Investeq and American Express, as well as entrepreneurship through their own ventures.
My Journey
My journey from a young professional in India to an entrepreneur, educationist and philanthropist in Singapore has been shaped by hard work, continuous learning, entrepreneurship and a strong commitment to giving back to society.
I believe that true success is not measured only by professional or financial achievements, but also by the positive impact we create in the lives of others.
