PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
As the Principal of DPS International School I am very fortunate to work with many dedicated, innovative and caring staff members, parents and students. Each day is filled with new experiences, learning for all, and the ability to make someone’s day better; many a day it is the students who make my day a little brighter. Developing our students to be internationally-minded leaders of tomorrow remains at the core of our philosophy. Not only are we concerned with our students’ academic achievements, we also want them to be well-rounded individuals, capable of leading a rich and fulfilling life and helping to create a better and more peaceful world. DPSIS’s curricula and practices are consistently reviewed to ensure that we are following the most updated best practices, meeting all regulations, and addressing the future needs of our students. Our staff consistently follows current trends and in collaboration with administration, creates a plan of action to incorporate those trends that are most appropriate in the classrooms. The students at DPS International School are offered many opportunities to explore their interests and investigate new ideas. We offer many CCA clubs, activities, sports and a large variety of cultural/musical ventures that our students can participate in.
Many of our students are involved in a variety of extracurricular activities that allow them the opportunity to grow at their own pace in a safe, nurturing environment. Character development and leadership are just as important to us as academic results. Over the years, the school has done well with many new initiatives throughout all levels to enhance our students’ learning. At the secondary level, the enhanced Student Council system provided a platform for our students from all levels to interact and foster a strong sense of belonging to the school. In many ways, students were more involved in the decision-making process and had to take responsibility for their actions. From initiatives proposed by the Student council members, to community service-based learning projects and the running of camps, our students were placed at the forefront to think on their feet and learn to work with one another. At a fundamental level, Character Building and Leadership were our key areas of focus. There were more opportunities for our student leaders to hone their leadership skills through organizing events that laid the foundation for our children to manage their emotions and cultivate positive attitudes towards life. It is our belief that our children of today are our leaders of tomorrow – a faith that inexorably urges us to broaden the scope for our students to become leaders and servers of our community. I consider myself very fortunate to be a team member of DPS International School. Each day I am amazed by the countless little things the people of our school community do for one another. It is these daily reminders that make our school unique and special.
VICE PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
Cultivating Happiness at DPS International School
In a world focused on competition and rankings, we at DPS International School believe there’s another key ingredient to student achievement: happiness. But what does it mean to be a “happy school”?
We believe happiness flourishes in an environment that embraces all talents and intelligences. We see it in the positive friendships built, the democratic processes where students have a voice, and the shared celebration of achievements.
As a Student Council mentor, I’ve witnessed firsthand the transformative power of student leadership. From organising a plethora of campaigns (anti-bullying; cyber safety; traffic safety; food donation; book donation; environmental stewardship, to name a few), to publishing newsletters and organising our Model United Nations – students plan, execute, and celebrate success together in profoundly inspiring ways.
Our Kindness Ambassadors prove how little everyday acts of kindness can have a huge impact in transforming our social environment. Indeed ‘happiness’ is a recurring motif in any DPSite’s school experience. Our Senior School’s Community Involvement Programmes go beyond ticking boxes – they offer students opportunities to make a real difference in the world.

While our students excel in various competitions, we also recognize their impeccable conduct and helpfulness. We strive to empower them not just with skills and knowledge, but with positive attitudes and values for a fulfilling life.
